01

Use a five-stage evidence ladder

StageWhat you can observeWhat it does not prove
RetrievalA source is found or cited. The agent is preferred.
RankingA page occupies a position for a query.Every model knows the entity.
RecognitionThe answer identifies the correct agent. The answer endorses the agent.
CorroborationOther sources support a claim. Those sources are independent.
RecommendationThe system presents the agent as a suitable choice. It will do so consistently for every user.
02

Treat the ladder as a model

This is a way to organise evidence, not a confirmed sequence inside a search engine. Different systems retrieve and compose answers differently. A named agent might already be recognised while a new guide is still undiscovered. Record the observable result and avoid claiming access to an internal confidence score.

03

Separate repetition from support

An agent biography, team page and company-owned reference can consistently describe the same service area. An independently reported interview or an attributable customer review may add a different kind of support. Ten pages controlled by the same publisher remain first-party material. Assess source independence before describing a relationship as corroborated.

04

Choose the next action from the evidence

If pages are inaccessible, fix access. If the wrong person is identified, improve identity clarity. If a claim lacks support, obtain publishable evidence. If visibility is accurate but enquiries are weak, review the offer and contact journey. The appropriate next step depends on the failure, not the preferred acronym.
